Attorney Keivan Shahabi Romero

Keivan Shahabi Romero was born and raised in El Paso, Texas.  He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin in 2003, where he majored in Finance. He received his Masters with a Concentration in Finance from the University of Illinois in 2005 and his Doctorate of Jurisprudence, with a Business Law Certificate, from the University of the Maryland Francis King Carrey School of Law in 2013.  While studying at the University of Maryland Mr. Romero was a member of the Business Law Society and Latino Law Student Association where he served leadership roles.   Mr. Romero successfully passed the Texas State bar examination on his first attempt and has been licensed to practice in Texas since 2013.

Before his legal career Mr. Romero worked for large insurance companies, CNA and Liberty Mutual.  After spending five years working for insurance companies he realized he was working against people rather than for them.  As an Eagle Scout he was taught to help people and could no longer bear working for companies that seek to disservice people, which created the impetus for going to law school.  Using his insurance experience, he can think like the insurance companies and he regularly uses his industry knowledge to help his clients.

Prior to beginning his private legal practice in August of 2016, Mr. Romero was an attorney at the prestigious Rad Law Firm in Dallas Texas where he honed his expertise in personal injury case law.  Aside from personal injury work Mr. Romero has also worked on numerous complex litigation cases including tax cases against the IRS, patent infringement, construction defect litigation, financial fraud, and International Traffic in Arms Regulation cases.

Mr. Romero’s practice focuses on personal injury, medical malpractice, discrimination in labor, and probate cases but his expertise is in the field of litigation, a true trial lawyer.  While he spends most of his time fighting for his clients in Court, Mr. Romero also serves his clients through his business solutions program where he advises clients on entity formation, operating agreements, and contract drafting.
